Music Midtown Festival
Music Midtown is a large music festival drawing in excess of 300,000 attendees for its three-day run. Six main stages, each typically sponsored by a local radio station, were used to present dozens of bands playing a wide variety of musical genres.

Jazz Fridays at the High Museum
Friday Jazz is an evening of art & music on the third Friday of the month, including live musical performances, drawing in the galleries and extended hours with full gallery access and food and drink available for purchase. Free with museum admission and free to members.

Kick-off the summer music season with Jazz in the Gardens at Villa Christina, complimentary outdoor concerts. Bring blankets or lawn chairs. Stone Mountain Park Fantastic Fourth Celebration
The laser and firework show at Georgia’s Stone Mountain Park is one of the most anticipated July 4 celebrations of the holidays.

The Fantastic Fourth Celebration 2010 will be the capstone of a fun-filled family day at Stone Mountain Park’s fourth of July festivities. During the 4th of July weekend the family can enjoy the sky ride, train ride, 4-D movie adventure, and take a Sky Hike. Then spread out a blanket on the lawn and enjoy a patriotic laser show and fireworks spectacular.

Georgia Independence Day Festival and Fireworks
Experience an Independence Day reminiscent of the festivities following the victory for independence enjoyed by our Founding Fathers at Nash Farm Park in Henry County, Georgia.

It is a short trip from Atlanta to Hampton, Georgia for this fantastic July 4 celebration. Enjoy early American re-enactments, music, and dancing. There will also be plenty of food and carnival activities for the kids.

An Independence Day Wagon Parade will be followed by a military parade honoring the men and women who have served and those who continue to serve our country, defending our freedom.

Just before dark enjoy more music, and at dark the fireworks extravaganza will begin. The fireworks display will be followed by a concert on both nights of the festival.

Salute 2 America Celebration and Fireworks Display at Lenox Square
WSB-TV, Channel 2 and The Georgia Lottery team up to bring one of Atlanta’s favorite and dynamic fourth of July celebrations at Atlanta’s Lenox Square. Join one of Atlanta’s favorite anchors, Monica Pearson, and sports Anchor Zach Klein. They will be joined by KICKS 101.5 and their radio personalities broadcasting live from the spectacular event.

Events include Atlanta and the southeast’s largest fireworks display, preceded by a concert by Martha Reeves. There will also be a concert by Craig Morgan in honor of Georgia’s military families.

Attend the event with your family. Parking for fireworks is available in a variety of locations. Arrive early and enjoy tailgating until the main events, including the fireworks display which will be visible for miles around.

Centennial Olympic Park Fourth of July Celebration
Centennial Olympic Park is one of Atlanta’s most amazing public parks and facilities. Head downtown July 4, 2010 to experience the Airtran Airways Fireworks Spectacular at the park.

The Centennial Olympic Park Fourth of July Celebration features children’s activities from noon to 4pm. Kids can enjoy arts and crafts, face painting, inflatables and so much more. Of course, Atlanta’s notable Fountain of Rings offer a place for kids of all ages to cool off from the summer heat.

The entire family will have a chance to meet the local Atlanta Q100 radio personalities throughout the day.

Lake Country Freedom Festival, Eaton, GA
Enjoy LIVE MUSIC/ENTERTAINMENT and the best Arts & Crafts Vendors around. There will be lots of fun for the whole family including a KIDS ZONE. Enjoy Lunch and/or Dinner from our sumptuous variety of Food Vendors. Then finish up the day with a spectacular FIREWORKS display performed by the famous Vitale family’s company, Pyrotecnico!!!
This is a charitable event, raising money to improve the lives of children living with juvenile diabetes. Juvenile diabetes is a devastating disease that attacks the pancreas and STOPS insulin production, causing those with the disease to live minute by minute, constantly monitoring and treating their glucose levels. They must constantly deal with serious highs and dangerous lows and the complications of both.

Camp Kudzu, the co-organizer for this event, is a non-profit organization that educates, empowers and inspires children living with diabetes. “til there’s a cure, there’s camp!”

Georgia Marathon
The Georgia Marathon is a true showcase of historic Atlanta, beautiful Decatur and all of the neighborhoods in between. The staging area for the Start and Finish is in Centennial Olympic Park in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The Start corrals are on Marietta Street adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park. Participants run downtown through Georgia State University, by the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, over the Jackson Street bridge with a spectacular skyline view, and into the Martin Luther King Jr Historic District by the house where Dr. King was born. The course continues through the Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park neighborhoods, through eclectic Little 5 Points, on Freedom Parkway by The Carter Center, and through the Poncey-Highland neighborhood where the Half Marathon splits from the Marathon course. Marathon participants continue through the Candler Park neighborhood, on historic Ponce de Leon, under the MARTA tracks onto College Avenue, through the Agnes Scott College campus, by quaint Decatur Square, on the Emory University campus, through the Druid Hills neighborhood past the house featured in the movie Driving Miss Daisy. Participants pass through the Virginia-Highland neighborhood, run over the Park Dr bridge into Piedmont Park and exit on 12th Street, run through the Midtown neighborhood on 12th St and Spring St, cross I-75/I-85 on the 5th St bridge, run through the Georgia Tech campus, and return to downtown via Marietta St to the Finish line where the party begins at Centennial Olympic Park!

Atlanta Dogwood Festival
The Atlanta Dogwood Festival is one of the largest and most diverse juried arts festivals in the country. More than 250 artists from around the country exhibit in 12 categories, including painting, glass, clay, wood and mixed media. Some of the country’s top painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craftsmen, glass blowers and more will be participating in the 2011 Dogwood Festival Artist Market. In 2006, the Artist Market was ranked #16, out of the Top 200 Shows in the Country by Sunshine Artist’s Magazine.

Inman Park Spring Festival and Tour of Homes
During the last full weekend in April each year, Inman Park proudly presents a neighborhood festival widely regarded as Atlanta’s most spirited and eclectic.

Big Shanty Festival
The City of Kennesaw will be hosting the Big Shanty Festival. There will be food vendors, games for kids, entertainment for all, and a Civil War encampment with infantry and artillery demonstrations. The location will be downtown near the old train depot and the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History.

Sweet Auburn SpringFest
Attracting more than 500,000 people … Sweet Auburn SpringFest is the largest street festival in the Southeast.

The Spirit of Sweet Auburn (SOSA) is committed to presenting to Atlanta the Grandest Festival of the Year on the Greatest Street on the Planet and it’s FREE to attend.

Building on the tradition and legacy of Civil Rights icon Hosea Williams, the father and son team of Charles Johnson and Khalil Islam, work with a team of dedicated and talented people to produce a world class festival.

It was on Auburn Avenue that many African-American Businesses and Institution were born. America’s first Black owned Radio Station, WERD, First Daily Published newspaper, the Atlanta Daily World, Citizens Trust Bank, Atlanta, Life Insurance Company, the Butler Street Y, Prince Hall Mason and many others.

Auburn Avenue was the center of the Civil Rights Movement home to Dr. Kings SCLC. Ebenezer Baptist Church, Wheat Street Baptist Church, Big Bethel AME and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, provided the foundation and leadership for social, civic and political change.

Our mission is to preserve the history and heritage and to tell the story of the men and women that made it and to give recognition to the leaders of today that are making new history.

We honor them with our Legends, Heroes’ and Heroines Award. They also serve as the Honorary Festival Co-Chairs.

Atlanta Jazz Festival
The Atlanta Jazz Festival is regarded as one of the Country’s largest FREE jazz festivals drawing over 100,000 people. It is an annual musical showcase, celebrates jazz legends and up-and-coming jazz greats in venues throughout metropolitan Atlanta during the entire month of May. Culminating during each Memorial Day weekend, the festival features show-stopping performances at Piedmont Park.

The Festival is produced by the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, and it is FREE and open to the public.

Decatur Art Festival
Decatur’s biggest arts event kicks off with the unveiling of the official arts festival poster and culminates with the main events on Memorial Day Weekend. Then join us for new dance, theater and literary arts performances, musicians all day long on Decatur’s community bandstand, a juried artists market, the fine arts exhibition, a special Kids and Teens Arts Festival and more. Snellville Days Festival
The Annual Snellville Days Festival will be held at T.W. Brisoe Park. The festival features over 150 arts and crafts booths , 20 food booths and a array of sponsor booths. The festival attracts over 30,000 people from all over the Metro Atlanta Area. There are two entertainment stages, all types of children’s activities, and plenty of family fun.

Taste of Smyrna
Taste of Smyrna “Festival of Delectable” is back!!! We are very excited to announce that you will be able to sample all Smyrna restaurants have to offer on Saturday September 17th from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM on the beautiful Village Green in downtown Smyrna.

Admission is FREE and samples can be purchased from1 to 4 dollars. We are expecting over 30 restaurants including Atkins Park, Marlow’s Tavern, Chick-fil-a, Jets Pizza, Pasta Bella, Williamson Brothers BBQ, , Bruster’s Ice Cream and more to tempt your taste buds and fill your senses. Don’t miss Kenny’s Great Pies and their seven foot authentic Kenny’s Key Lime pie!!! You have to see it to believe it!

There will be acoustic music from Scott Thompson entertaining all day on the Veteran’s Memorial and continuous entertainment on the Main Stage in front of the library. The Main Stage entertainment will culminate with a concert at 7:00 PM. There will be an enormous Kids Zone with interactive inflatables featuring the 33′ Shark Slide, Euro Bungee Quad Jump, 24′ Rockwall, 120′ Roller Coaster Obstacle Course, and much more.

The anticipated attendance, weather permitting, is expected to be over 18,000 people

Acworth Love the Lake Festival
“Love the Lake Festival” on Labor Day Weekend. There will be quality Arts & Crafts, quality food vendors, an enormous children’s area, entertainment, sponsors and all types of lake activities. The event will be centered on Lake Acworth at Cauble Park in downtown Acworth, GA. The venue is beautiful and will work perfect for a top-notch community event.

Taste of Kennesaw
Downtown Kennesaw, GA will be filled with the sweet smell of food and the sweet sounds of Rock ‘n Roll. There will be over 40 restaurants, all types of children’s activities, beer garden, sponsor booths and admission is FREE. The taste attracts over 25,000 people from all around the Kennesaw area. There will be two entertainment stages playing all day. The show hours are 11 AM – 8 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2011.

Main Street Acworth, GA will come alive with the all the best that Acworth has to offer! There will be over 120 booths, lots of food, all types of children’s activities, sponsor booths and admission is FREE. The taste attracts over 18,000 people from all around the Acworth area. There will be two entertainment stages featuring local entertainment, a dog show, fashion show, and more. The show hours are 10 AM – 6 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2011.
