Murals seen by millions of travelers

As one of the busiest travel hubs in the world, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport puts Corey Barksdale's work in front of millions of travelers every year. Two separate mural projects — completed years apart, for two different clients — are installed at the airport today.

Photos of both mural installations are being added to this page — check back soon, or see Corey Barksdale's full mural portfolio in the meantime.

Signature Aviation Executive Terminal & Hangars

Between 2018 and 2020, Corey Barksdale's original artwork was reproduced as large-scale murals and installed throughout the Signature Aviation Executive Terminal and Hangars, a private aviation facility at Hartsfield-Jackson. The project was designed by architecture and interior design firm SchenkelShultz, with murals placed throughout the FBO (fixed-base operator) building, the VIP and VVIP lounges, and corridor spaces — giving private aviation clients, sports charters, and VIP travelers a first impression rooted in Atlanta culture and storytelling.

Concourse A Food Court Mural

In 2022 and 2023, Corey Barksdale's work was featured again at Hartsfield-Jackson, this time in the Concourse A food court as part of a terminal renovation. Multiple individual pieces of his artwork were combined into a single large-scale mural, commissioned by Paradies Lagardère — the airport's concession and retail operator — with design coordination by SmartDesign Group. The mural was installed under a long-term agreement, giving it lasting visibility to travelers passing through one of the airport's busiest concourses.
