music festival is a fun, family – friendly, free event
that treats you to an evening of the arts, including artistic
demonstrations, performing arts and an amazing concert featuring
Joey Sommerville, his band and special guests.
Music Midtown Festival
Considered to be a `recent tradition' in Atlanta, the Music Midtown Festival has grown tremendously since its 1993 inception. The 2004 festival featured over 120 Artists on 11 Stages, and included such noted performers as; Hoobastank, Steve Miller, Ludacris & many more. With multiple-acts booked in Alternative... Classic Rock... Jazz... Blues.. and much more. The Music Midtown Festival is a diverse gala, that's sure to please any music lover, and will be held over a 3-day period from June 10 - 12, 2005. The Marcus Institute Art Auction 6:00PM
King & Spalding Offices 1180 Peachtree Street. The Marcus Institute's Early Intervention Program will have an art auction at the new offices of King & Spalding. There will be beverages and hors d'oeuvres by Shaun Doty and others. Dr. Catherine Trapani, Director of Education, has had an artist-in-residence program for the last three years. This year, each of about nine artists spent a day with the children, encouraging their creativity. In addition to the children's work, there is one painting by each artist and some collaborative works by artists and children together. Admission to the June 15 auction is free.
